I have been spending way too much time on Facebook. I am going to start forcing myself to stay off of it for more than a few minutes at a time. I will still do my Mafia Wars, check messages and do status updates but the problem is that I have very little spare time. In the summer I work about 70 hours a week and I only have 3 or 4 waking hours a day at home during the week. It seems like a lot of that time is spent on Facebook. When I was in France I managed to read three books. Since I have been home I have read 1/2 of one book. I have also been ignoring my blog. It made me feel good when I was keeping up with my blog everyday in France. I guess I really don’t care if anyone reads it or not because it is good for me to write everyday.The fact that I have been ignoring it bothers me because I know that I waste time on Facebook. So starting today I am going to force myself to close the computer and get something else done. We will see how I do!!!
Yesterday was a cross between an episode of “The Twilight Zone” and “Candid Camera”. I was at one of my customers houses and I was messing with the vacuum cleaner and it fell over and knocked over a pot that was on the floor which proceeded to split in two. Then about 5 minutes later I am in a different room an I knock into a table that has a statue on it. It falls off the table lands upside down and the head breaks off. I was a mess just totally freaking out. The worst part is that these people are from South Africa and these items were from South Africa as well. Of course they were really nice about it which made me feel worse and my self confidence was reset at zero. Then I get home and go to take the dog out. When I closed the front door, I hear a crash and broken glass. I had knocked a picture off the wall and broke it. Thank God I was safe and at home where I could only break my own things.
The money that has to be spent for your kid to go to college is endless. Books are like $500 and up. My son and his friends got the bright idea that they were going to get an apartment. The problem is I don’t think any of them understand the concept of paying for utilities. Gus is going to find out real quick what happens when you don’t pay your bills. I am not paying the utilities and I warned him about this so I have a feeling I am going to have son commuting to college next semester.
The week was painfully slow and busy but it ended great. Charisse’s wedding was nice and she seems so happy. It is always funny to watch a lot of drunk people that you don’t know act like themselves.
Sunday we went to the Irish festival like we do every year. I really love this festival. Is there anything better than corn beef and sauerkraut egg rolls with 1000 island dressing? I would go pay the $10 admission just for those egg rolls. I also like to see all the merchants. There are always so many neat things to see. The music is fun too and they have stages everywhere. It rained for about 2 minutes and then stopped so the day was perfect.
Jared has an opportunity for work in France for a week in December. If this works out it would be great for him.
Now I have to repeat the process of work again for the week. I am so glad that August is around the corner.
The closer we get to September the closer we get to my schedule lightening up. I actually have customers who leave and go back to Florida in September believe it or not. Have a great day!!!

This has been an incredibly busy week!! The fact that it is only Wednesday just makes the whole thing worse. I had to go to the laundramat to dry clothes last night because the dryer broke and we haven’t had time to go shop for another. To be honest it wasn’t that bad. My clothes were dry in a half an hour. Laundry is usually an all day project for me so that was kind of fascinating. Not that I plan on ever doing it again. I am too attached to the comfort of my own home and too semi antisocial to rub elbows with people at the laundramat on a regular basis.
Jared is driving to Virginia today for the funeral tomorrow. I cannot go with him. We have had too many things happening lately and I just can’t take the the chance of ticking anybody off. Good news is I don’t have to work at Steinmart again until Friday night so I will be able to get some stuff done around the house at night. No news from the doctor about Jared. We are trying to be patient. Gotta go!!!!!!
I had an incredibly busy week last week!! Jared went to NYC over the weekend and I spent most of the weekend working. I did manage to sneak in a few horror movies while he was out of town and I got real crazy and drank some beer(Ok maybe more than some). I had to pick him up this morning and ended up being traumatized because he was late and I had to circle and I hate that and then it ended up taking an hour. GGGRRRRRR. Now I have to figure out how to arrange my schedule so that I can fit in all of my work and clear my Thursday. We have a funeral on Thursday in Virginia but we will have to come right back because we both have to work on Friday so it is going to be a crazy week!! Hopefully I will be able to keep my customers happy so that they don’t dump me. It seems we have had so much drama lately that I have had to ask a lot of them and so far they have been taking it but everyone has there breaking point. Hopefully this is not it. I had better get started on this tough week. Have a great day!!!!
Gus got the job at the Pro Football Hall of Fame and he is really happy about it. I am really happy for him!! Jared is going to New York this weekend last minute. He has an opportunity that will hopefully pan out. I have been having a hard time with my exercise regime so I am going to have to start forcing myself to do it. We have just been really busy and there have been so many stresses lately that it has been in the back of my mind. Hopefully we will get some kind of news from doctors this week so that we can both relax. I have a crazy busy day so gotta go. Have a great day!!
