Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

I did write down some notes but as the week goes by my memory is getting weaker so I am going to wrap the last 4 days up quickly.  Thursday we spent most of the day at the Musee d’Orsay.  They have a great impressionists collection and we actually bought some prints that we mailed back so that they would not get damaged.  Thursday evening we went to see the “Terminator” and ended up at the Arc de Triomphe by accident.  We took the oppurtunity to do some filming which was fun.

Friday was the Louvre.  Yes we saw the “Mona Lisa”.  We went back to Notre Dame so that we could go up to the top to see the gargoyles.  We got alot of good film and pictures.

In the afternoon we went to the cemetery where Jim Morrison was buried and it ended up getting a little crazy.  We found Jim Morrison’s grave.  Then we started looking around and there were alot of ccelebrities there.  We knew that Oscar Wilde was buried there so we started looking for him.  The cemetery closes at 6 and we were having trouble finding it.  All of a sudden sirens start going off and cars are chasing people out and right at that moment we found his grave.  Jared wanted to get some shots and so did I.  They were freaking out and We start running and Jared is like running backwards and filming at the same time.  It was hilarious.

Saturday was our last full day in Paris so we had planned on going to the flea market which had been recommended.  It was really big but it was raining so it was a bit miserable.  We both did find something.  I found an old Villerroy and Boch plate and Jared found an old pair of binoculars.  I didn’t want to leave Paris without going to a mall so we went to the Lafayette Galleries and I loved it.  I ended up buying a couple of shirts.  We went back to the hotel early because we had to start packing.

We had to get up at 630 on Sunday morning because we had to take a taxi to the airport.  The lines were horrendous at the Airport but no extra drama or anything.  Smooth flights and a couple good in flight movies and we got home.  Should I leave out the part where my son deleted every single last thing off the DVR right before we got home by accident?  It was a great trip and I had a wonderful time.  Thanks for reading and thanks to those of you that sent me private messages and emails about Karla.  I appreciate it.
